Dental Implants In Florida

Following tooth loss, you will be embarrassed, depressed, and perplexed. But we will be able to help you navigate your options so as to get back on the good road. Did you know that our dental implants are placed once and will last the rest of your lifetime, if cared for properly? Beyond that, they present no real threat of infection, and require no more upkeep than your original teeth. Implants also boost biting power and look great in your mouth.

Doesn’t that sound nice?

We think so, too!

So, what do dental implants involve?

They allow for some much needed healing, for one thing!

Basically, dental implants replace a missing tooth, or multiple teeth, permanently, in a way that looks and feels natural. This solution is designed to last a lifetime, as dental implants can now be surgically inserted into your jawbone. They won’t fall out when youl least expect it!

How does it work?

We bring in the best to get the job done right for you. At Jeffery A. Spilman DDS, we collaborate with a renowned specialist, who is only two miles down the street from our own St. Petersburg, FL practice, to handle to insertion of your initial implants.

Maybe we should explain a bit more. Just so you know, our dental implants are actually made up of three key components: the anchor, the abutment, and the crown.

The anchor is the “root” of the dental implant. It is a titanium post that is usually threaded like a screw or bolt. This is the part that fuses with your jawbone for a solid foundation.

The abutment is the piece that holds the whole implant together, linking the anchor to the crown.

The crown the visible part of the implant that serves as your artificial tooth. This is the part people will see. As such, it is designed to match the look of your natural tooth color, and is crafted from durable materials.

After your gums have sufficiently recovered from the initial implant surgery, a permanent crown will then be installed over the implant. When the treatment is through, you can once again consume healthy fiber-rich foods that were painful to chew after your loss.

What’s more, when we are finished, you will look younger and more vibrant because your recently collapsed cheeks will have rebounded, and your smile will once again be without empty spaces.

Can Dental Implants Help You? Find Out Now!

Implants can work wonders for the right candidates. However, if you are interested in receiving dental implants, you must be an adult in good general health, able to tolerate anesthesia, and a non-smoker.
