Get White Teeth Fast

Have you got a special occasion coming up where you want your smile to look its bright best? Fortunately, a professional teeth whitening treatment in our St.Petersburg, FL dentist office only takes about an hour. You just relax while the whitening gel does its work!

To schedule an appointment for a teeth whitening treatment, call Jeffery Spilman, D.D.S. at 727-645-4727. Unlike some dental practices, we even offer Saturday hours. And we’re open until 6 p.m. two nights a week. So it’ll be easier to see us for a whitening session before your big event.

Got an Hour? Get White Teeth

We use whitening gel from the well-known brand Zoom! and a low-intensity light that makes the gel even more effective. The process is completely safe, and involves three 15-minute applications of gel. Your teeth will be six to ten shades lighter and brighter at the conclusion of the teeth whitening treatment.

Even better, we can provide you with custom-made whitening trays and a supply of Zoom! Gel you can use at home to keep your teeth white and bright. The sturdy trays are produced using impressions of your teeth so they fit perfectly. They make it easy for you to completely cover your teeth when you apply the gel. No more struggling with flimsy strips or single-use trays!

You can choose the professional whitening that best suits your schedule: DayWhite or NiteWhite. DayWhite gel is applied for 15 minutes twice a day for two weeks. NiteWhite is worn overnight or for a two- to four-hour application during the day.

Keep Your Smile Looking Bright

Once your teeth are a stunning white, you’ll want to keep them that way as long as you can. Brush and floss your teeth every day; you can use a whitening toothpaste if you like. You can also mix up your own whitening toothpaste by adding a quarter teaspoon of baking soda to your regular toothpaste. You’ll get similar whitening results, for less expense.

See us at least twice a year for professional dental cleanings. We’ll remove surface stains and polish your teeth so they look and feel great. Smoking stains teeth. Avoid cigarettes and other tobacco products. If you’re looking for a reason to quit, maybe a great-looking smile is just the incentive you need.

Avoid foods and beverages that stain, including red wine, tea, coffee, and cola. Use a straw when drinking staining drinks to minimize contact with your teeth. Brush after consuming them, or at least rinse your mouth out with water. If neither brushing or rinsing is an option, eat a crisp food like an apple or a carrot stick. In addition to containing nutrients that are good for your body, they also clean your teeth as you eat them.

Some Teeth Whitening Tricks

If you can’t make it to our St.  Petersburg, FL dentist office before your big occasion, you can use some tricks to make your smile appear whiter. A tan creates contrast between your face and teeth, making your smile look pearlier. So if you’ve been to the beach lately, your teeth probably already look brighter. If you’ve got no time for the beach, you can get the same effect by applying a bronzer or self-tanner. Wearing dark colors near your face can help too, especially if you want your smile to look whiter in photos.

A lipstick in the right shade can also give your teeth a whiter look. If your teeth appear yellow, try wearing a lipstick with blue or purple undertones. Berry, plum, or true reds are good choices. If your teeth look gray, a lipstick with copper or bronze undertones will brighten your smile.

Dental Veneers Give You a Long-Lasting White Smile

After your special occasion is over, you might want to consider a more lasting solution to keep your teeth white. Dental veneers last for at least a decade, likely even longer. They resist staining, so your smile will stay bright and white.

Veneers not only cover discoloration, they conceal many other smile flaws including chips, cracks, small gaps, and minor misalignment. They can even make teeth that are too short look longer! We offer several different kinds of veneers, including ones that require little if any removal of enamel from your teeth.
